About me

Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Xinqi Kang. I am currently a 5th year Ph.D. student working with Meni Wanunu at Northeastern University. I worked on nanopore biophysics for four years. Specifically working on developing platforms and assays for using nanopores for biomarker quantification. In the last year of my Ph.D. I start to collaborate with Sara Rouhanifard and work on understanding the biological significance of pseudouridine modifications using fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH).

I am a science enthusiast. I am always happy to talk and learn more about different research topics. Besides research, I am a big cat lover and foodie. Whether looking for a research collaborator, do not hesitate to email me and/or follow me on social media.
